A (Not So) Beautiful Mind

Tobie came in my office recently and commented that one of the other residents in our complex might call campus security as my office window was looking a little too much like an unfolding psychotic break.

I figured, until I started drawing lines between the scraps of paper or taping up magazine clippings I was safe.

Ok, I'll concede. It is slightly creepy looking...

That's AWESOME. As a biochem 1st year grad student, I approve heartily.

Good luck!

"But Tobie, look! The link between NSAIDs and pre-renal damage *proves* the Kennedy Assassination was the work of aliens!"

Just promise me you'll go easy on the caffeine, 'kay?

Well, you've already seen some of my Step 1 study wall so I'm in no position to judge. You will know the wall/window material very well by test day!

Even better, you will likely never again be inspired to repeat this behavior.

I wonder how "you" have started looking.

Whenever we had such stressful times we would begin to resemble OBL!

Long beards, shabby clothes, living surrounded by heaps of books, with other people who looked like us.

I hated EXAMS . . . and still do

Awesome! The 'worst' I've ever done was making a big drawing of the GI system with all the diseases we had to study - nothing compared to your window of renal horrors... Good luck!

DV--Thanks! =)

Grump--Tobie agrees with your sentiments. He was basically only letting me burn candles in the bathroom.

G--Thanks! =)

AB--Hahah, exactly! Oh I've been OD'ing on coffee but have been trying to ween myself now that it is over.

PGY--Hehe, indeed. I am actually thinking of making some giant poster board organs for my study hovel back in Canada this summer. Take the creepiness to a whole new level! =)

LS--I look haggard, pale, and doughy. This has only been exacerbated by the fact that I've been packing and moving--so my sleep and hygiene is not much improved. =)

CT--I made the kidney my bitch on that window and I tell ya, there was maybe ONE question on all three exams with regard to the thing. I was so unimpressed. =)

Does it include - "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

Until it does, I think that it can be viewed as a temporary situation.

I have tried to make the kidney(s) my bitch on long drives, but they are not easily humiliated and they do not have to change their pants. And kidneys do not listen to reason. "We're almost there," never works. :-(

I saw the photos from a distance and thought to myself "why the hell can't I do that?"

It is admirable without a doubt but I worry about your personal health. I hope you do take care of yourself. The unfortunate thing is - that's the only thing I am capable of doing: 'Hoping'
