Okay, that worked. Now for my real comment:

Our government blows. In so many ways. This being one of them. I have bitched to my classmates repeatedly about it. But ya, I'm sorry you're having such a bastard of a time finding electives out here. If its any consolation, as far as I've gleaned from my CaRMS experiences, we're hurting for family doctors right now, so that can only help things in the future.

Hahahaha the look on that guy's face is priceless. But I know you are having a rough time trying to do rotations in Canada, so please excuse my laughter. Good luck. And really, try Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. I think I mentioned that before (or I'm senile?) but we have a TON of IMGs here. In a good way.

Any luck in Sask?

Also, I don't know if you accept requests for post topics, but I've been thinking a lot lately about what makes a good surgeon. What are your thoughts?

Geez. I looked for ANY MD in my community (rural Vancouver) for SIX years and couldn't find one. My own MD (female) has an office in a neighbouring community and it takes me more than an HOUR just to drive there. I finally found a male doc in our community that my husband goes to, and when I found a female MD that was available, when I phoned (she was on Maternity leave) I found out that she was moving in a few months to Nova Scotia to be around family. It's difficult to get any MD here never mind a female one. Another place with NO AVAILABLE MDs is Kamloops. Even their WICs are booked up daily. It's terrible that Canada wouldn't want their own to come home when there is such a shortage.
I have looked on their website and there is no female MDs available where I live: https://www.cpsbc.ca/node/216
